Museum visit: „Surreal Encounters“ at the Kunsthalle Hamburg
This time nearly twenty colleagues left PLATH together for a guided tour through the exhibition. They were led by an experienced lady who outlined the background of the surrealist movement. In about an hour the most important works were introduced and explained.
The impact of the surrealists works from the 1920s evolves from the worlds of the subconscious. A stimulation of inspiration and creation of collective works was important to these artists. This approach may also be – not only for artists – sometimes helpful and useful at today's everyday work.
After the guided tour there was enough time to go through the exhibition and to visit the collection of the Kunsthalle. Afterwards the PLATHians, impressed and inspired by so many surreal experiences, said good bye to enjoy the rest of the evening.< Back
